St. Hans

The St. Hans holiday (or midsummer eve) is named after St. John the Baptist. Quite why I don’t know, but it’s the longest day of the year. At this time of year the sky never really goes dark. This photo taken late last Friday. aardal49 [1024x768]

About skinke

Since buying my first digital camera 8 years ago (a Fujifilm finepix f310 for those interested) I have been hooked on photography. I'm primarily interested in landscapes and static scenes, but recently I've discovered macro photography and wildlife photography too. My hobbies are golf, fishing, and travelling, so the photos necessarily reflect this.
