Fear

This weeks challenge from PhotoFriday is “Fear”. Now I’m not that good at taking photos of people being afraid, or taking photos of spontaneous scary situations, so the best I could manage was to go out to the Alexander Kielland monument. The Alexander Kielland disaster was the worst disaster in Norwegian oil history, killing 123 people. The monument is called “Broken Chain” and really expresses the fear and sadness that the families of the victims must have felt at that time. kielland38 [1024x768]

Unfortunately I wasn’t the only photographer out there tonight, as the sky was spectacular, however, I’m pleased with this exposure.

About skinke

Since buying my first digital camera 8 years ago (a Fujifilm finepix f310 for those interested) I have been hooked on photography. I'm primarily interested in landscapes and static scenes, but recently I've discovered macro photography and wildlife photography too. My hobbies are golf, fishing, and travelling, so the photos necessarily reflect this.
