Leaves on the line

Leaves on the line is a common complaint in the UK during the autumn. The excuse that the train was late due to leaves on the line came to symbolise the state of British rail services in the early 1990′s. In fact it wasn’t the presence of a single leaf like this, but that the rails became slippery because of mulch that created the problem.

This innocent little autumn leaf won’t bother anyone though. Not least because the railway is disused. numedal51 [1024x768]

About skinke

Since buying my first digital camera 8 years ago (a Fujifilm finepix f310 for those interested) I have been hooked on photography. I'm primarily interested in landscapes and static scenes, but recently I've discovered macro photography and wildlife photography too. My hobbies are golf, fishing, and travelling, so the photos necessarily reflect this.
