We were in Stavanger for Christmas, and we had a really good time. Alexander had a great time with his cousin, and even though he’s a good deal younger he still seemed to have a lot to say:)

Edinburgh at Christmas

They lit the Christmas lights in Edinburgh when we were there last weekend. One of the best features is the winter fun park with a ferris wheel and an ice-skating rink.

Or at least electricity wires, which amounts to the same thing. This weekend the weather was clear down by the river where we live but the fog was thick as pea soup up by the church on the top of the hill. Still, at least it’s not snowing. Yet.

Bridge over (not very) troubled water

It looks like winter’s coming, so I hurried out the other night to get this photo of a bridge I’ve fished under before it snows and it isn’t possible any more. I think the street lamps and the lights from the sports arena give a ghostly quality to the light.

Foggy night

The local church sits atop the hill behind the flat. Quite often it’s foggy up at the church and clear at the bottom, but the floodlights make up for it. They give a ghostly glow to the place.

The last day of being able to borrow the amazing 50mm f/1.2 L USM, at least for now. The wee man did a spot of modelling again, and this time he was crawling around the place and feeding himself milk. (often, more milk goes outside than inside him….)
