The changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier is a pretty moving sight. (Obviously apart from 8000 schoolkids running around). Arlington National cemetery is a really impressive place. Well worth a visit.
Due to circumstances beyond our control. we were directed to the USA on a much more northerly flightpath than is usual. As a result we flew over Greenland at 40 000 feet. We crossed Greenland around 550 miles from the south tip. What a view:)
My camera was stolen on the train in Scotland so at the moment I’ll have to ply you all with old photos. Thankfully i’ve got plenty of them. Here’s a view from Hardangervidda most notable for its whiteness.
