    Light snow

It’s not my favourite time of year, winter, but I must admit it throws up some opportunities for reevaluating some very ordinary sights. This streetlight through branches, for instance.

  • Christmas twilight

    Christmas twilight

The darkest day of the year. This photo was taken at 3pm this afternoon, just as it was getting dark, and just as more snow started falling. At midnight tonight the sun turns and we’re headed for lighter days.

    Local snowfall expected

We seem to have arrived at winter. The local ski slope is making snow for the upcoming season and the snow cloud is dropping snow all over the neighbourhood.

  • Decaying suburbia

Near our new flat is an abandoned garden centre that is to be torn down to make way for yet more flats. Kind of sad to see buildings decaying like this, but at least it makes for some good points of view, especially since we had 20cm of snow yesterday and no-one had disturbed it…
