    Great excitement in the garden today. We had a visit from one of the local toads; he obviously thought that our grass was a perfect place to sunbathe. In between warning the kids to leave him alone, respect for nature etc. I managed to dash off a couple of shots.

    The sunset view from Carignano is something you never grow tired of. We were lucky enough to be invited up for a dinner a few days ago and watched the great fiery ball fall from the sky behind the hills.

    It’s hot. Really hot. 31 degrees at 5:36am hot. So I couldn’t sleep. Fortunately this meant that I got up in time to head down to the beach and see this spectacular sunrise. Might have to get up early more often….
