  • Greenland from the air

    Due to circumstances beyond our control. we were directed to the USA on a much more northerly flightpath than is usual. As a result we flew over Greenland at 40 000 feet. We crossed Greenland around 550 miles from the south tip. What a view:)

  • A whiter shade of pale

    My camera was stolen on the train in Scotland so at the moment I’ll have to ply you all with old photos. Thankfully i’ve got plenty of them. Here’s a view from Hardangervidda most notable for its whiteness.

  • Overcast

    ….what to do on an overcast day? Well, overcast can mean rain, and rain means running water…:)

  • Blurred

    This weeks Photofriday challenge is Blurred. Two dogs playing can look brutal, but they’re the best of friends really.

  • Pleasure

    Pleasure is…..getting rid of excess water after the first swim of the season:)

    Viking beat Brann 4-0 on Sunday. What  a great game!

  • Victory!

    Spring really has arrived. The snowdrops are the definitive proof:)

  • The miracle

    I’m not going to go all teary eyed here, but it really is one of nature’s miracles. After the winter we’ve had (and still are having), it is such a good feeling to see the crocuses and snowdrops finally poking their way out. It’s a great sign of a fantastic spring and summer to come.

  • Retreat

    Finally. It seems that the worst is over. The forecast for the next few days is for temperatures above zero and for rain. Maybe by the end of next week I’ll be playing golf….

  • Shades of greatness

    I missed the self portrait challenge on photofriday last week, but I thought that maybe a sort of “not quite a self portrait” photo might be cool this week.

  • Cutting corners

    A bit of an abstract offering today. I’ve cut some corners in the processing here since I used the “Auto levels” button in Photoshop Elements. (That’s just because I couldn’t work out how to get the desired effect). Sorry…

  • The sculpture

    …well nearly. It could have been a sculpture, but it’s really just a climbing frame. The winter sunset frames it nicely though.
