This week’s photofriday challenge is “Urban landscape”. I took the liberty of interpreting this rather loosely and set off in search of some nature in town. Luckily there’s a nice park near where I live (right next to the motorway) and this fern was growing there. Urban landscape? You decide.

…has nothing to do with the picture, but I overheard to kids at the bus stop discussing this when I walked past with the dog the other day. I had to restrain myself from bursting out laughing:) Anyway, another one of sunset today, I’ll go for the “urban landscape” challenge tomorrow.

The sunset tonight was spectacular, a lot of bad weather on the way. Would you believe that we’ve had 24 days of rain out of the last 30? I really hate the rain, and that autumn is on its way.

A bonfire on a cool evening by the river, what a great feeling to sit there after a day’s fishing and watch the flames dancing.

Just outside Stavanger there’s an island called Sør Hidle with a unique micro climate. The owners have taken advantage of this and created the world’s northernmost palm-tree island.

Not much photography recently (none). There’s been a lot to do at work and the club championship has been played at the golf course. Here’s one I took earlier, of a friend fishing.

This week’s photofriday challenge is old and young. Is it possible to be 7 years old and act 7 months? Well, what can one say. The old stick-dog routine. The dog is the least water-shy dog I’ve ever seen, so much so that she has to be showered after a trip to the beach. Now…

The stones on the Spiaggio di levante (Sassonia) in Fano are quite unique compared to the sand on the Lido and Arzilla beaches. Anyway, with all the rain we’ve been having here in Norway over the past few weeks it already feels like we’ve had no holiday at all. A nice reminder is in order….
