    We were in Rollag last weekend visiting Alexander’s great grandparents. Olav is 89 and has worked as a farmer all his life, and his hands are huge. He held Alexander in one hand and the poor wee boy almost disappeared!

    One of the hardest things for a west-coast man moving to the east side of Norway is that the winter lasts so long. Finally though, it seems that we’re going to get some much needed springrtime here too. I even saw a man sitting outside in the sunshine yesterday.

    My god how time flies. He’s two weeks old, and has grown by 2cm, gained almost a kilo, and is eating like it was going out of fashion. Takes after his father there then. Anyway, we have been lent a playpen and he seems to enjoy hanging out in it and looking at the world…
