What is the answer?

One of the big advantages of working for the company that employs me is that I get to borrow some of the best photo equipment. Today I got to try an 85mm f/1.2 L II lens, and the extremely shallow depth of field posed some questions which I haven’t quite worked out how to answer.

Tyre tracks in the snow mean nice patterns on the ground. Snowing again today though. Will it ever stop? who can say? My wife has expressed concern that winter will never stop and that we’re in groundhog day. It is getting lighter though, it wasn’t TOTALLY dark when I went for the afternoon constitutional.

View from the frozen lake

For once Mosvannet has frozen without any snow on it, and that means that the ice is perfect for skating. This evening there were lots of people out enjoying themselves. For an amateur photographer the cold weather provides a great opportunity for seeing local landmarks from a new angle.
