I was lucky enough to be asked to take some pictures for the Canon partner kick off yesterday. The partners were crewing these 37 foot sailing boats and the racing was hard. I got the best deal though. I got to ride on a dinghy that did 50 knots.

Glowing grass
After a long day at work I had to get out this evening and catch the last rays of the sun as it set behind the mountains. The spring has come late here, and the farmers have only just got the grass planted for hay later on.
The silver lining
The evening before the national day gave us a great sunset. Let’s hope that tomorrow delivers:) We’re having some guests over for a late lunch/early dinner tomorrow as well as watching the parades.
My world
It doesn’t really seem credible that beside one of the most heavily trafficked roads in Norway there are areas of real beauty. This is only 50 yards from the E16 road to Bergen, but I wonder how many of the people in the cars know about this. This weeks challenge on photofriday is “My world.”
Slow sunset
Sometimes an evening that looks like a dead end photographically turns out really well. Ølberg last night was grey and sad, but then all of a sudden the sun came out and yours truly was in the right place at the right time for once:)
The sculpture
…well nearly. It could have been a sculpture, but it’s really just a climbing frame. The winter sunset frames it nicely though.
All on my own I sit here in the cold
…but the sunset is spectacular and the weather is great:) Think positive!

I had never been out to Eikeland before, but a well judged wrong turn brought me there. Perfect for a little exploring and some photography.
Glowing hill
I went in to Årdal last night again, to go fishing. No fish (again) but the dog came along and had a great time swimming in the river and generally being neurotic every time I went down to fish. The sunset was pretty spectacular, and with big mountains and hills you get some cool effects [...]
Catch
Catching crabs and lobsters in pots is one of the great joys of summer. I really like the sunsets at this time of year when the light can make even the most mundane items golden:)
