The second day of the team golf at Stavanger saw the local favourites really live up to their billing. The duo of Friestad/Ramsnes were -7 after the first nine holes. To quote Bobby Jones, they play a game with which I am not familiar.
Team golf
The Norwegian team golf championships are being played at Stavanger Golfklubb this weekend. The local boys are among the favourites, and in their white uniforms made for good photographic subjects.
Size
Size matters. At least if you’re a cruise ship. The ships that visit Stavanger regularly tower over the small houses in the old town. The tourists provide a good living for the guide industry.
Come with me!
My nephew has been looking forward to having a visit from CC the dog, and we went down to the local playground yesterday. Unfortunately for the wee man, the dog was more interested in the stick she had than him.
Happy chappy
We’ve had a bit of a family weekend. Today we went for a nice walk through some backwoods here in Bærum, and the wee man seemed to enjoy it.
Sharp focus
It’s been raining a lot here recently. The camera hasn’t really been out that much, but I’ve managed to get a few shots off. This weeks photofriday challenge is “Sharp Focus”

After the rain
It’s been a strange few days. The mercury’s been hovering around the 24 degree mark, but it’s been absolutely chucking it down with rain. My 100mm macro f/2.8L really comes in to it’s own in these conditions.
Bridge over troubled office
This weeks Photofriday challenge is People. I was in Drammen today and I saw the reflection of this pedestrian bridge in an office window.
Contrast
Sandvika is a place of contrasts. On the one hand, the politicans have ruined an old town centre by allowing a shopping centre monsrosity to be built there. (Oh, and there’s the 6 lane motorway going through the town too.) On the other hand, a pretty river runs through the town and Claude Monet lived [...]
